Your Mac. More possibilities.

A place to chat, choose a model, and let your own Mac handle requests from your other devices.

Chat on Mac

Write a question and return to your saved conversations.

Run a local model

Download a supported model, then select it for use on this Mac. Hardware and model size affect performance.

Choose your provider

Use the AI providers you have configured. The built-in Qwen service is online, not a downloaded model.

Connect your devices

iPhone and iPad can send text to your Mac. Apple Watch goes through its paired iPhone.

Set up Mac local AI

Choose where your answer comes from.

More than chat.

01

Ask with a photo

Attach an image to your question. Image input depends on the AI service and model you select.

02

Conversation history

Pick up where you left off.

03

Weather and widgets

Weather and widgets on supported mobile and Watch versions. Not included on Mac. Availability depends on device, version and access.

04

iCloud backup

Mac can sync its chat archive with iCloud when enabled. Other devices need their chat backup enabled; this does not pair them for Mac AI.

05

Everyday stress references

Use available HRV and heart-rate records as an everyday reference, not a medical measurement or diagnosis. Mood and stress features are not included on Mac.
